What's inside a computer?
Sound Card
Their main functions of a sound card are recording and sound reproduction.
A sound card can emulate real instrument sounds, special effects, echoes, reverbs, choruses, polyphony, etc. Sound cards include a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) port for connecting any instrument conforming to the MIDI standard to the computer.
One of a sound card’s most important features is sampling frequency.
Sampling frequency is measured in number of samples per second.
